Support your gut health with this easy rhubarb overnight oat recipe, featuring gut-supporting kefir, seasonal rhubarb and True Biome. Created by our in-house nutritionists, this quick and delicious breakfast ritual makes it easy to stay consistent with your daily True Biome ritual, supporting your inner ecosystem.
To make it vegan, swap kefir for 250ml almond milk (add True Biome in the morning as directed).
Step 1: Chop the rhubarb into small pieces. Put it in a pan with 1–2 tbsp of water and heat gently for 5–7 minutes, until soft.
Step 2: While the rhubarb cools, mix the oats, kefir, and a little fresh grated ginger in a glass bowl. Then, stir in the diced pear.
Step 3: Once the rhubarb has fully cooled, mix it into the oats, saving a little for topping.
Step 4: Cover and refrigerate overnight (or at least 6–8 hours).
Step 5: In the morning, stir in a ritual scoop of True Biome.
Step 6: Top with the remaining rhubarb, an optional drizzle of honey, and a sprinkle of toasted flaked almonds.
"Busy mornings can lead to many of us rushing down our breakfast, but your gut benefits so much more from slow mouthfuls of meaningful digestive support. So much of how we feel starts within our gut. Therefore, I build my daily rituals around making breakfast a supportive foundation for the day ahead. This recipe is not only delicious but also supports my gut health by combining high-fibre oats, seasonal fruits and vegetables, with gut-friendly ingredients like kefir yogurt and True Biome."
